NTOSKRNL.EXE not found. How can I reinstall this file???

Every time I restart I get a message about ntoskrnl.exe. I searched the hard drive for that file and the following files:
Ntldr
Boot.ini
Bootsect.dos
Ntdetect.com
Ntbootdd.sys
Ntoskrnl.exe

I didnt find any of them. I got this file list from microsoft.com, but I couldn't find how to replace them or where they go. Please help. Greatly Appreciated

There is a quite a long thread about this one on Experts-
Exchange which has some really good links in it.

Have a read of it, and see if it can sort your problem
out. If it doesn't post back and we can have a further
look at this issue.
