NTFS Formatting

I have a drive that I want to format with NTFS so that it is ready to go
if I need to install it in a system. Somewhere I heard that the XP
version of NTFS (Version 5?) is different from Win2K's version. Is that
correct? If I format the drive in an XP machine, will Win2K have a
problem with it?

XP just adds some meta data. W2K doesn't notice the difference.
