ntbackup.exe error

I created a backup file using "ntbackup.exe". The backup
worked and the "bkf" file is over 5 GB in size. I went to
do a restore from the file to an alternate location, and
only the folder/subfolder structure of my backup
restored. All folders are empty and show no files. Hard
to believe a backup file of that size only has folders in
it. Any ideas on how/if there are really files in there
or how to get at them?
