Nt Backup questions??

I have one server that I am doing a full system backup
using NTbackup. Yesterday I did not recieve a backup log
for the scheduled job, is there anyway to tell if the job
ran and if it actually did anything?

Also when I go into view and reports my logs are not
showing up there, although I do have logs for every day
for ten days, except yesterday.

Is there any way to setup notification? Such as for job
completion, job failure etc.

There will be an event generated in the Application log if the job tried to
run. If there's no event in the log, then you might make sure the account
you designated the job to run under has the appropriate permissions.
