When real-time protection is active, what notification
does it give when it stops a treat from the internet?

Am I notified by a pop up window? Can this be surpressed?

If there a summary page for these supressed instances or
are the summaries only for scans?

Hi

Yes, and you are notified with a popup.

You can see all events within MSAS > Real time protection
On first screen you can see all events, "View all events"
after this you can choose Internet, System or Application agents.
Then you can see "View blocked..... or View all events" for every
agent running.

MSAS is really powerful !
