nothing appears in the WINNT and System32 folders

On a 2000 server, I open the Winnt folder (same with the system32 folder) and no icons appear. I know they are there, because if I access the folder from another computer, they display.

Another problem that may or may not be related is that Event Viewer and Services property windows do not display. But if I try to close the MMC, it says "Close all property pages before closing Event Viewer"
 
Is that u got Virus in Win2000? if u got Blaster, the WINNT and System32
folder will have nothing appear...

Check for services that you don't recognize. There have been cases where
"Microsoft Internet Information Server Kernel Mode Driver" really isn't ...
