Has anyone experienced the following problems with
notepad? I have Word Wrap on.
Problem 1
Line1: Some text<no return>
Line2: Some text<no return>
Line3: Some text<return>
Line4: blank<return>
Line5: cursor sitting here
Do an Alt-F-S and the cursor jumps to somewhere in Line3.
Problem 2
Line1: Some text<no return>
Line2: Some text<no return>
Line3: Some text<return>
Line4: blank<return>
Line5: blank<return>
Line6: cursor sitting here
Press back space on Line6 and the cursor jumps to Line4.
You can still cursor down to line 5.
Problem 3
Sometimes when the text fills up more than the visible
area and you scroll down to the end to start typing, some
lines disappear and become invisible. After scrolling the
section where the line disappeared off the visible area
and scrolling back to it, the line reappears.
All these problems are random and I have seen it happen
also on a Windows 2000 machine besides my Win XP Tablet
Edition. The Win 2000 machine never had the problem before
all the recent hotfixes and updates. That makes me think
that it is not my machine but maybe with a hotfix. Both
machines have all the latest critical updates.
Feedback from users with different levels of patching
would greatly be appreciated and if the problem can or can
not be reproduced. This message will also be posted in
Tablet PC and Windows XP-General.
