When I copy and paste a section of text from Notepad to an outgoing e-mail
in IE6, the result is double-spaced i.e. an extra row between lines. Is
there anyway to copy and paste without the extra rows i.e. paste as is?

How about PASTE SPECIAL - Unformatted text?

OR try to Wrap your text in notepad before copying/pasting.
