Hi,

I have Toshiba Satellite 1905-S303 notebook with
Windows XP. My problem is CPU (?) overheating and crash
without any warning. I upgraded my BIOS to version 2.0,
but nothing happend. Is there any way how to fix that
problem?

Thank you very much.

Mark

Rich,
I am pretty sure, that the CPU overheating is the
problem. Toshiba notebooks had (and still have) that bug.
And it can't be fixed. :( I guess there was (or is)
lawsuit against Toshiba
(http://www.throck.com/articles/UD_Aug_23_2002.html).

I already have new BIOS version and solved problem with
ATI Card - but nothing helped.

Many times there is a fan running in the laptops. Look
and see if you have vents for that and if you can hear
the fan running.

And check to see that the air intake is free from dust and lint, and that
both the intake and exits are not blocked with any items near by. If you
have evidence of dust at the inlet, then you probably have a dirty fan also.
