I have a note field in an Access 97 database form that is a memo data
type, users can enter a note in the field with no problem and it
stays... however, when they go back and add any text or alter the text
that is present it does not get saved and the changes/additions are
lost. How can this be fixed? It seems like it should be a simple fix,
but it is eluding me pretty successfully.

TIA

Have you witnessed this behavior? Rule #1 is that users lie. Rule #2 is to
see Rule #1.

Is the form based directly on the table or query? If a query, are their more
than one table involved? Could it be an unbound form?

What is the Locked Property of the text field set to?

Is Allow Edits enabled for the form?

Do any other changes made to the record also disappear?
