Not using 2 licenses, and now we're out of license

Same poster as immeidately below.

It seems like there are 2 licenses that are issued to
computers that are no longer on our network. (retired
machines). Is there a way to take back those licenses and
reissue them to the new machines?

If those licenses were issued before you installed SP3,
then you need to install SP3 and then call the Microsoft
clearinghouse in order to get the licenses reissued. If
the licenses were installed after SP3, then the unused
licenses will return to the unused license pool after
about 90 days from their last use.
