I am in charge of Payroll in my company, and at the end of the year
have to compile a very large excel sheet showing what each employe
made, for tax purposes. I have a digital copy of all the payroll o
the computer, which is also excel sheets. My question is this:

Is it possible to make a formula that will take the money that the
made from the one document onto this new one? If so, how

Open both files.
Pick a cell in the Destination file where you want this dollar value and
select that cell.
Type "=" without the quotes.
DON'T PRESS ENTER.
Now go to the source file and select the cell that has the dollar value you
want.
Press Enter.
Done.
Excel just wrote the formula for you.
Post back if you need more.

This is helpful, but I need a code that I can modify the folder name.
Payroll is sorted like the following example:

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\Past Payroll\Week o
3-4-06\Smith.xml

I need to be able to change just the date in the code
