not receiving all emails

I have windows 2000 and am using outlook 2002 as my email
default. I have SBC DSL as my internet provider. I am not
gettting many of my emails (specially with attatchments)
on my outlook. I can go directly on to SBC 's server and
find them but it does not come through on outlook. Does
any one know how I can solve this problem?
