not logged in as Administrator????

I cannot install any software. I cannot get any updates. The message says I
am not the system administrator, even though I am the only user. I never
logged off as administrator, and everything was fine yesterday.

Please help me!

XP home SP1, blah, blah, blah...

In XP Home you CANNOT log into the Administrator Account without booting up
into Safe Mode. Your account may be CALLED administrator, but unless you are
in Safe mode, it's not THE administrator account.
