"not enough server storage"

Jason

I'm getting this response trying to open a shared folder. The machine
with the folder is running XP Pro, the client is XP Home.

I have found lots of MSKB articles about this and other info via Google.
All recommend increasing IRPStackSize in the registry and to create the
value if it doesn't already exist.

On the XP Pro machine, it is absent. BUT, when I try to create it--as
Administrator or a user with admin privileges--Windows won't let me. It
reports: "The Registry Editor cannot rename New Value #1. Error while
renaming value." Is this caused by a security policy that I need to
change?

Thanks,
Jason

Yes, normally when you have a problem like this, it is the group policy that
needs to be changed.

I don't know anything about it, but as soon as I find out, I will let you
know.

I am getting the same message when I try to map a second drive between
machines. The first map, Drive Z is to the target machine's hard disk (C:)
and works fine. When I try to map a second drive Drive Y to the target
machine's usb drive (E:), I get this message. By the way, the local security
is available through the control panel as well. Any way, I do not know
anything about local security, etc. Can you explain more about why the
message occurs and what can be done to fix it.
