can anyone help
i have always used ie6 to browse the web but since getting
aol broadband i am finding i keep getting messages on my
screen saying "not enough memory free to run this program
please close other programs......"when i try to launch an
application or click "start" or "show desktop" icon whilst
surfing, which i do, until there are no more programs that
are not essential left.then i have to restart pc as user
resources are at 0%. i am running win 98se on a pentium4
2.66ghz with 17gig hard(10gig free) with 256 mem with all
microsoft updates installed. i have traced this problem to
IE6 because i can use aol's own browser for hours with no
loss of user resources, but after only 10 or so minutes i
am out of memory using IE6 viewing exactly the same sites.
is there a setting or something else i need to do to sort
this, i have already set my tempory internet files down to
10mb (as i am typing now i am down to 19% user resources)

These <erroneous> error messages are usually caused by Spyware.
You _have_ enough installed RAM.

Proceed as follows, Removal Tool, your choice, novice users, Lavasoft's
Ad-aware,
http://www.lavasoft.de/res/aaw6.exe
Lavasoft/Ad-aware home: http://www.lavasoftusa.com

Advanced users, SpyBot Search & Destroy,
http://studserver.uni-dortmund.de/~su1669/spybotsd12.exe
SpyBot home: http://security.kolla.de/
SpyBot How-To: http://www.tomcoyote.org/SPYBOT/

Install either but both are not necessary, reboot, read FAQ and overview, use
online update feature to obtain the latest reference files, scan for Spyware
much like you would with your pre-installed anti-virus scanner.
Rid your machine of unwanted Spyware pests.

HTH
