Not enough extended memory

hi! i am currently having problem. when i reboot my
machine it did not proceed to Windows 2000 startup. But
instead, I got the following error message:

Windows NT has not found enough extended memory. 7mb of
extended memory is required to run Windows NT. You may
need to upgrade your computer or run a configuration
program provided by the manufacturer.

Memory Map:
00000000 - 0009FC00

any idea why this error message appears? what must i do
to resolve this problem.

This message often appears when there is a problem with physical RAM or your
motherboard. Please contact your hardware vendor for assistance.
