not booting

After installing vista on Dell Latitude D600 with 2GB of RAM, the OS is not
starting up. The window says starting... please wait. I waited for 5
minutes and it is not starting. Has anyone encountered this problem?
 
So many people have. Just do a search and you will be enlightened.
