I'm having an absolute nightmare at the moment
My machine will not boot, at all, not even in safe mode
I am running
WinXP Home SP2
On
Athlon 2200+ (1.8)
512mb RAM
My BIOS does it's memeory check, then windows starts, I get the XP screen
with the 'loading line' on the black background, then when the screen turns
'WinXP blue' the system hangs, this is both in normal & safe mode
I have tried running last known good configuration from the start-up menu,
but the result is the same
I'm getting lost without my XP
Please can anyone provide me with a few pointers
I am currently running a Linux operating system from my CD drive (Knoppix
Live CD)
