not allowng to do internet banking

I used to do internet banking with window Me fine. I have
installed window XP after reformating because of virus
problems. now when i enter the logging name and password
of my banking network the website suddenly disappears.
Hence i cant proceed. I have installed firewall and AVG
but the problem persists even after disabling them. Any
ideas? many thanks.
