Not able to play DVDs.

Not able to play DVD movies in xp. I am using Win DVD
player on my HP Pavilion ZE5000 series computer. Whenever
I try playing DVDs, system crashes; tried with many discs.
Also, I have recovered my system to factory settings.

my dvds it plays games and music but not the movies
