not able to modify xp pro security tab settings

When i go into the security settings for a folder on my hard drive all the modify options are disabled, everyone is the only group in there and i can not modify its settings. I have found the only place i can modify these settings is on the c drives security settings. PLEASE HELP
 
Nevermind, just had to inheriate all security settings to file/folder on the hdd.
