Not able to login

G

George

Hello,

The situation I had with an XP workstation on a 2000
Active Directory Domain (a little redundant there in the
expl since 2K Domain = AD). The workstation was unable to
allow the user to logon interactively or locally to a
workstation. The only user account that worked was an
account with the local admin privilege (in this case
administrator). But all other windows 2000 pro systems are
working fine. Logon locally properties I am unable to add
any user because that option is disabled.

The system which is giving problem, I can't login with any
user. If I add the user in administrator group, I am able
to login.

Please help me.

Please check Local Security Settings on that computer, follow these steps:
1. Go to Control Panel --> Administrative Tools --> Local Security Policy.
2. Choose Local Policy --> User Rights Assignment.
3. See on the right pane, double click Log on locally.
4. You can add/remove users/group that allowed to log on on that computer.

regards,
Irwin
