Norton Ghost

Forgive me, I know this is not the correct group, but I would be grateful for
any re-direction. My step-son has a problem involving Norton Ghost, in which
he is receiving an error message (which is not curently available to me).

Can some kind person tell me if there is a Norton or Symantec Newsgroup to
which we could direct an enquiry for assistance with this problem? I have
tried the Symantec website which is singlarly lacking in advice in this area.

You probobly have diferent version of Norton Ghost
there is a varsion that works only on fat32 partitions
and version that works only with ntfs partitions.
Try Google for Symantec help.

Without the exact error message, when it occurs or even a near mention of it, no one can help. The other response isn't fully correct either, Ghost 2003 and newer works with any file system, FAT and NTFS. Earlier versions worked with any file system but you couldn't write to NTFS from FAT.

Please provide the exact error message for assistance even if this isn't a Symantec ng. It may not be a Ghost issue and may be due to Windows.

I've been using Norton/Symantec products for many years and am quite capable of providing a solution or possible solutions. If I don't have an immediate solution, I am quite capable of navigating Symantec's support site even though they're taking that down the same road as NIS/NAV.
