Norton Antivirus Auto update not working in XP only 98 2E

Norton Antivirus Automatic LiveUpdate does not update
virus definitions automatically, I can only do it
manually. This only happens in Windows XP, but not
Windows 98. How can I get it to run it automatically like
it use to?

Make sure the Task Scheduler service is running and that
should do it. If that doesn't fix it, also try
reinstalling the software. I install NAV for customers
on a daily basis at work and have came acrossed computers
that need you to install NAV more than 1 time to get it
working. Hope that helps.
 
Go to the control panel then scheduled tasks and delete the item "Symantec
NetDetect". Open the NAV and you'll see live update is disabled, re-enable
it and everything should be fine.
