Recently my pc was attacked by virus. I used the Norton
downloads to get rid of them. Now Norton is not working
properly. I went to The Norton site and they said to
uninstal the Norton programme, take out some of the
registry info and then re-install the Norton software.
The only problem I have is that I dont have any Norton
software..........I recently had my pc upgraded to XP and
when it came back from the programmer, Norton was
installed. I have the XP CD. Does the CD have Norton on
as standard/ Can someone help/advise me please.
Many thanks

No. The XP cd does not contain Norton. Sounds like the tech who performed
your upgrade loaded Norton onto your system. Contact him/her for help. They
should have provided a program cd for any software they installed on your
PC. In the mean time, go to www.grisoft.com and download the free AVG
software to protect your system until you can reach your upgrade programmer.
If they cannot/will not satisfactorily assist you, and you prefer to use
Norton's, the '03 version of NSW was being bundled with Norton's Internet
Security at Best Buy for around $70.00 last US last week. Good luck.
