Normal Template Error

When using Workshare 4.0 or 4.5 we get an error when closing out of Microsoft
Word 2003 or 2007 saying "Word cannot save this file because it's already
open elsewhere. (C:\Documents and Settings\...Normal.dot).

We blew away our Normal. We saved the Workshare document with Worldox and
without Worldox (our DMS). Has anyone every received this error who is also
using Workshare? It only happens when using Workshare with Word. We have
spent hours on the phone with Workshare and with Worldox and both have come
to the conclusion that it's Microsoft. Help. Please.

Hi Kim,

See if using Start=>Search to locate
~Normal.*
(include looking for hidden files)
locates a 'lock file' that has been left behind.

I'm assuming each user has their own Normal.dot (it's not intended to be shared).
