I am running Word 2003 and in the older versions it was easy to find
normal.dot. I cannot find it now. I even tried searching and nothing.

Where is he hiding?

Come out, come out wherever you are...

In recent versions of Word (or maybe it's just under Windows XP), the folder
that contains Normal.dot is a hidden folder (yes, we all agree that's
insane). You have to change your folder options in Windows to display hidden
files and folders.

Suzanne S. Barnhill has given you the answer -- twice, since this
information is also in the article (written by Suzanne S. Barnhill) I
referred you to on June 18. Did you read it?
