Normal.dot File

Is there any reason why my Normal.dot template file keeps increasing in size
and i am having recreate the file everytime it happens!!
 
Normal.dot is supposed to increase in size as you save customisations in it.
To stop it saving changes without your consent, check tools > options > save
prompt to save normal.dot.
