Hi,

I'm creating a form using vba access.
But one main problem: I KNOW NOTHING ON IT!!! ~~sob~~

Most stuff i found on the web only had solution on bits and pieces.. No idea
what is going on..

Here goes..
I creating a form with a textfield and a button..
On click of the button, i will need to get the value keyed into the
textfield(containing folder name-> as there will be more the one folder),
then it will go to e folder(which contains 11 excel files, named 'xx abc
all.xls' -> xx is the difference between the 11files) check if the files are
available.
If available will start to import the data from xls into database.

I'm using Access 2000, how do i do that??
-- 1) check if files(xls) exists?
-- 2) if exist, start import

Other Question:
What's the 'action' thing when i create a command button in the form??
Which one should i choose?
Any where i could get good resources.. references for vba access??

Thanx lotz..

RegarDx..

Silver,

As far as basic resources, go to a bookstore and browse. They vary in
quality and depth. Find one that you find easy to read. When you become a
serious developer, however, get the Access Developer's Handbook, by Litwin,
Getz, et al.

Also, below you will find Jeff Conrad's exhaustive listing of online
resources:

You should find plenty of tutorial links in the "Tutorial Style" area below
(as well as a bunch of other stuff).

Here's one or two links, grouped by category, to help in your Access qwest.
Please watch out for any possible line wrapping on these links.

Can anyone suggest a good website to find basic access training (for free)
where I could find out things like change the name of an object by clciking
on a button object, ie the basic code behind the scenes? Thanks Tim (ID ask
the question here if that was the only issue:-)
Thanks Tim
