Has Microsoft said when the Antispyware program will be out of beta?

Thanks

They haven't, I think.

My own bet would be sometime in the latter half of this year, but I'm not
sure when, and it could go further.

Thanks for the info......

Will you be able to deploy this program through WSUS??

They've just announced today (or recently, anyway) that definitions will be
available through WSUS--soon. The program will be renamed Windows Defender.

I don't know that answer--I'm not familiar enough with WSUS. But I suspect
the answer will be yes.

The WSUS definitions announcement was made to a WSUS related listserv--but
you should see the name Windows Defender when looking at available
categories within WSUS soon, as I understand it.

From what I understand you can deploy it, but it will only be available for
the corp. edition. That is the last I heard, things could have changed by
now though.

Thanks, Joe--I know that there will be an antispyware component of Microsoft
Client Protection, and I would expect that package to be centrally
deployable--it will certainly be centrally managed.
