They've just announced today (or recently, anyway) that definitions will be
available through WSUS--soon. The program will be renamed Windows Defender.
I don't know that answer--I'm not familiar enough with WSUS. But I suspect
the answer will be yes.
The WSUS definitions announcement was made to a WSUS related listserv--but
you should see the name Windows Defender when looking at available
categories within WSUS soon, as I understand it.
From what I understand you can deploy it, but it will only be available for
the corp. edition. That is the last I heard, things could have changed by
now though.
Thanks, Joe--I know that there will be an antispyware component of Microsoft
Client Protection, and I would expect that package to be centrally
deployable--it will certainly be centrally managed.
