No Transport carrier

D

Darryl

I am using Outlook 98. I have a service configured for msmail (on an
internal LAN machine)
and internet mail.

This works fine. I periodically get messages bounced back with
"No Transport Carrier" messages. I can't figure out what is causing this
message
as email sent to the internet works and to the msmail post office.

Any ideas what causes this ?

thanks,
Darryl

The SMTP queue on your Mail Service is probably getting
backed up. This has been happening alot with DNS attacks
and virus bouncing all over the place. Sounds like your
POP3 is working fine but the SMTP is getting backed up.
