No touch deployment and partially trusted code in real world examples

Hi there,
We are trying to decide whether to go the ASP.NET route or the rich
client route with no touch deployment as described in this article
http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/02/06/rich/

I think I understand the merits of both but was wondering if anyone
has any practical examples of which route is the better one and why.
The rich client approach sounds great - too good be true in fact. Are
people successfully using it? If so are you experiencing any major
problems with it?
Thanks for any comments

well dont forget that with the no touch deployment way u still gotta ensure
that all clients have the .Net framework installed on their system... if u
can ensure everyone has this (with windows updates) then its easier to
deploy a system with the power of win clients and the ease of deployment of
web apps.

besides whats the point everyone running 3Ghz pcs out there is everything is
still being process on the server.. aint it time we make use of this
processing power?

just some of my thoughts on the topic...
