No top or bottom margin

Whenever I open a new document in Word, the cursor is at the top of the page.
I have the margins set at the default. It used to start several lines down
and show the margins along the side of the page. The bar showing the margins
no longer appears. The right and left margins and the bars are still there.

I have tried different views, etc., but can't seem to get the margins and
bars back. I'd appreciate any response that might help. Thanks!

Put your cursor at the very top of the page. It will turn into an up and
down arrow (says - "Show White Space"). Click the mouse at the point. If
you accidentally click your mouse in the area between page breaks in Print
Layout view, this will happen. Simply click that area again to fix it.
