I am running xp pro and when I open my documents, my computer, control panel
etc, I do not have a toolbar at the top of the page which will allow me to
navigate back and forward. when I right mouse click to get the view options I
don't have a toolbar option in the menu. I have to set my folder options to
load each folder I open in a new page.I have tried everything I know to
correct the problem. I have xp home loaded on my laptop and I don't have this
problem. Any suggestions?

A few suggestions:

Press Alt/V/T

Press F11

Ramesh suggested this in another post:

Download IE Addressbar fix from here:
http://www.angelfire.com/dragon/sramesh2k/reg/IEToolbar.reg

Deletes the following registry key; Resets Toolbar, Addressbar positions to
defaults. Restores hidden/missing bars:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar

I beleive I found the solution. Go to
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and download restore missing
toolbar. Worked instantly. Close your folder windows which are open, run the
download and hopefully you will get your toolbar back.
Thanks to Joe for your suggestion. Got me on the right track with the
registry problem.
