No text converter is installed for this file type

If a file is created in Office 2007 w/ macros in it but saved as a
ppt document is sent to a user with office 2003 they can not open the
file. The file is not corrupt. If I then take the same file and
change the file type on another computer that has 2007 and then put it
back on the machine with 2003 it will work fine.

I have the compatablity patch and all of the windows/office
updates. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this issue?

My problem is the same as mentioned above. I'm using Office2003 on Vista.
Have all updates and compatability installed in the correct order.

100% of the time, a ppt built in 07 and saved as 97-03 ppt gives me the "no
converter" error. I've read 18 threads on different tech sites and have not
found anything that I haven't tried.

Can anyone offer a solution that works?
