No System Checkpoints - Why?

Hi - My System Restore has stopped issuing regular System Checkpoints. They
used to be created about every 2 days. It seems to have stopped when I
updated to Adobe 7.08. I also found QuickTime didn't work either and had to
reinstall it!
Also when I download anything now, the date the file was created is always
the date it was downloaded, why is this happening? - Thanks for any info
regarding these two irksome problems. - Andrew.
