You may simply edit your boot.ini file which ies in the
root of your boot drive (apparently, it will be
c:\boot.ini).
Boot.ini file contains entries for NT bootloader to
display at boot time. These entries may look like this:

[boot loader]
timeout=30 // timeout befor start booting the
default OS
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(4)\WINNT //the
default os to boot
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(4)\WINNT="Microsoft
Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect //entry to boot
Win 2000 which was installed on partition 4 (on my system
it is F: logical drive)
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(3)\WINDOWS="Microsoft
Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect //entry to boot Win
XP which was installed on partition 3 (on my system it is
E: logical drive)

The only thing you should do is to edit your boot.ini file
and leave ony one spare entry in it. If boot.ini will
contain only one entry for the OS which can beb booted,
you wil not see bootloader menu anymore.

One thing: you better be really occurate and to remove
only the entry which is incorrect. Check carefully on
which parttion you have installed your XP, and do not
remove the entry which points to that partition.

E.g. if you have your OS installed on logical drive D:, it
is most likely that drive letter D: relies to partition
number 1 (partition numbering starts at 0, so your boot
partition (drive C:)would have number 0). So in this case
do not remove the boot.ini file entry for partition number
1.

There's also a possibility that you boot.ini file has to
entries which point to one partition. In this cae you
should simply remove one spare duplicate entry.

Note that boot.ini is 'system', 'hidden' and 'read-only',
so you might wish to remove these attributes from file
before editing it.
