No standby option in win XP shutdown

Hi,

When shutting down my neighbor cannot select standby (it is grayed out)
instead of restart or shutdown. Using Win XP Home SP2. Any help
appreciated. Thanks

check the power management options in Control
Panel->Desktop->Screensaver->Power button.

Standby is only available if the computer's hardware supports it.
