No Standby Mode Option

Catherine

I just reinstalled Windows XP Pro on my computer and have
fixed all settings except for this: now, the option to
put my laptop into "standby" mode is gray (rather than
the lovely blue)-it's been disabled. I have no idea why
or how to get it back...please help. :)

Visit the support website of the manufacturer of your video card,
search for Windows XP drivers, download and install them. Once
this is accomplished, the Standby button will become enabled.

If you have a notebook PC, then visit the notebook manufacturer's
support website and download the Windows XP video adapter drivers.

my computer and it now has the same problem. one thing i
wonder about, i installed originally on NTFS and this

it. did you do that with your install?
