No Spell Check in Access 2007

I have unchecked everything in proofing except 'Suggest from main dictionary
only.'
I'll recheck them if you want.
Curious - there's nothing in the Dictionary Language combo box. Not sure if
something
is supposed to be there.
In AutoCorrect everything is checked.
Access is the only office program I have so I can't compare it with anything
else. Although,
the spell check in Windows Live Mail works but they probably use different
spellcheckers?

James,

There should be something in the Dictionary Language box - Engligh (U.S.).
Is it available from the drop down? That could very well be the source of
the problem... no dictionary! I do not know if Windows Live Mail uses the
same Spell Check as I don't use it.

Oops, forgot the link... here are the directions and the link...

1. Click Start, point to All Programs, point to Microsoft Office, point to
Microsoft Office Tools, and then click Microsoft Office 2007 Language
Settings.

2. In the Microsoft Office Language Settings 2007 dialog box, click the
Display Language tab.

a. If the Display Language tab is not visible, you do not have any Language
Packs installed. You only have the language of your version of the 2007
Office release. If you need additional languages that are not included with
your language, you need to get a Language Pack or Language Interface Pack.

b. If the Display Language tab is visible, click the tab. The Display
Microsoft Office menus and dialog boxes in: list shows the languages of the
Language Packs that are installed.

c. If the Display Language tab is not visible but you see the language that
you want is listed as an Enabled editing languages on the Editing Languages
tab, see What does limited support mean.

I feel a bit stupid now.
I selected the Custom Install in Setup.
I stepped out of the room for a minute and I guess my cat sneaked in
and unselected the Proofing Tools and Language Tools
I wanted to blame access but, of course, it was user error.

I ran setup and added the uninstalled items and it is working fine now.

Thanks for you're time and effort and for putting up with my impatience,
James

Thanks much for the time and effort and for putting up with my impatience.
