No SP1 in Automatic Update?

I know that I can download SP1 (Well, SP2 Beta for that matter) but I find
it strange that it's not showing up in Automatic Update. Right now, the
only update that does show is an Optional one for my Synaptics Touchpad.
Unfortunately, installing it kills my mouse.

Is Automatic Update waiting for this optional update to be installed before
it'll give me SP1?

Thanks!

Hi,

The detection routine used by Windows Update will identify if drivers that
are incompatible with SP1 are in use on the system, and if so then it will
not be offered. You can still install the standalone version, but you may
find that some devices may not work properly. You will need to reinstall the
drivers afterwards.

Is there any built-in (or freely downloadable) utility to see which drives
are incompatible?

Thanks!
