No sound

My system: Windows XP home, Logitech Quickcam, SMC wireless. In messenger, I am able to transmit and receive images and text, but cannot send or receive sound. The program appears to have a problem connecting to the other computer when attempting audio communications. I tried to find Qos Packet in Control Panel/Network connections properties, but could not find it. Thanks for any advice.

See the post "Didn't anyone notice (etc)" just posted.

I think the voice channel, or voice server, if different than the
video server, was just out of commission. For maybe 5 days. Only a
couple of people noticed is all I can see. It now works.

Hi,

There is no "voice server", voice communications are peer-to-peer and as such, the
"invitations" for voice conversations operate the same as text-messaging, and then you just
directly connect to your contact. There is no further infrastructure.
