no sound

i get message saying that no audio device is connected
how can i reinstall audio driver simple terms please

Do you have a sound card installed? Did you ever have sound? If you have a
sound card, what kind is it?

You didn't give enough information for anyone to be able to give you an
intelligent answer. Post back and give us something to work with.

Sound was working... onboard sond card. Been working for
month. The fix we got is to change the mother board...
Board is= 845pesv
Win XP sp1 all update in.
 
on board sound or sound card installed, find the make
from the chipset and go to the manufacturers website,
download driver. or use driverguide.com
