No sound...

I just upgraded to Vista tonight, after OneCare nuked my XP install. Now I
don't have any sound trying to use Skype - either in or out. My contact
can't hear me, and I can't hear him. Does anyone know what's going on, or
how I can fix this?
 
are the drivers installed?
are they any exclamation points in the device manager?
more info needed
is skype the only program you get no sound on?
