This is really odd, this has been working very well for
some time now, and just recently it quit.
So here is the scene, I have a tape player hooked to my pc
I enjoy inputting older no longer available music and
converting it to mp3 etc.
When I play the tape I'm not able to hear the musicon my
pc .
I've checked all my settings they appear to be normal for
what I'm doing, I'm using music match as the software of
choice. source is the system mixer, I've also tried line
in, no joy.
Here is the wierd part, when I boot the system with the
tape playing I can hear the music till the windows sign on
screen is displayed, then it cuts off, so it must be a
driver or setting issue, but I can't find it.

I can record using Windows ME just fine.

This really baffles me, MM works fine, I can playback
perfectly, using various types of media files.
HELP!!!!
