No sound on CD with powerpoint

I have been trying to play a CD with a powerpoint presentation with sound
(apparently) and all I can do is view the presentation. Is there a setting on
my computor that would be blocking the sound? I have installed powerpoint
viewer 2007.

I have windows xp installed

It's quite likely that the sound file has not been embedded in the
Powerpoint, or not placed into the same folder as the presentation when
linking it (and then copying the folder to the CD). When the CD has been
prepared the sound file link has been lost.
