hi,

I just plugged in my pc with xp on it again.I removed the cmos battery and
replaced it and now when i turn it on again there is not sound and no
display of any sort from the pc.

Then you did something more than merely remove and replace the battery.
You would have a display if you did that properly.

You f***ed something up when you got into your case.

bios setup data ? If so,how do i work out the multiple for the speed in the
bios?
Or what is the problem???

thanks in advance

If you have no picture at all then you have a problem with your
power supply, your motherboard or your CPU. Take it to your
PC dealer for examination.

Ensure that the battery is in place as it should be.. if still no display,
you are the owner of an ex-PC..

but what if its just his psu fan working, he might have knocked the psu to
mobo power conector out.
as i did once.

miss-information

There is probably a jumper to short to clear cmos. Check your motherboard
documentation. It could require that you disconnect the ATX power cable
from the motherboard connector first, before shorting the pins. Next enter
the bios and select "Load Optimized Defaults". Then try to boot.

New battery is:
1. Upside down
2. Dead
3. Not making contact
3. Not really a battery

You don't know whatdafuck you're talking about.

Video would still be available in all of the above cases IF nothing
else was wrong.
