no signal input

I recently installed Win2000Pro over Win98 with no
resulting issues. Then, I downloaded and installed SP4 and
all seemed to be ok. Now however, the pc will boot to the
Windows screen, hang briefly, go blank, display a small
window with the "no signal input" message, and then reboot
itself. I've tried the 2000 registry restore procedure
provided at the 2000 tools and utilities site without
success. Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.
