After I convert from Access97 to Access2003, sometime some data are deformed.
Looks like 1 carracter or code shifted to next field and show funny
characters. Exmp. "1365" is deformed to "䧾呎㈷". Even try to delete or change
primary key data, it doesn't accept with "No search key found" error.
Even recreate data table in 2003 format, it happens.
Currently I am running 2003 format program with 97 format data, and I don't
see any data deformation. If somebody knows how it happens, please let me
know, otherwise I need to keep one computer to maintain 97 format database.
Thank you.

Sounds like it could be corruption to me, however, do you have the latest
service pack for the JET database engine installed? See the following KB
article:

BUG: You receive a "The search key was not found in any record" error
message when you compact a database or save design changes (in Access 2000)
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/301474

This article applies equally well to Access 2002 and 2003.
